Colonel Bob - 60th Birthday and Losing It?

Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret. Fitness Boot Camp, Fort Lauderdale
Fitness guru and author, Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein (ret.), celebrates his 60th birthday at Briny's Restaurant, Riverfront, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. on April 15, 2011. He has been featured on the History Channel, Fox Sports Net, Fox & Friends and many others.

Asked about his secret to a long and healthy life, Colonel Weinstein responds, "Eat right. Think the right thoughts. Move the body. Don't take yourself too seriously. Maintain a sense of humor. Care about others and don't forget to give the Creator his due respect. That's the quick version in a nutshell."

"I seem to have maintained all my mental faculties. I joke with one of my long-term clients who is already over sixty. Albert, when we both, God willing, reach the age of eighty and continue our training together, we'll be asking each other who we are every five minutes."

After thirty years of service with the U.S. Army, both active and reserve time, along with years as a fitness boot camp trainer, he is still going strong with total weekly training of 18 hours per week. "I don't let the clients have all the fun. I am a participant with all my personal training clients. The training is outdoors and on the move."

On Friday, April 15, 2011, he will celebrate with friends at Briny's on Riverfront in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. He requests that instead of gifts, donations be made to the Covenant House, a place for homeless and runaway youth.
