Max was back. He's the tallest in the photo.

We had another fun workout on the beach. Amy made a surprise visit. Max cranked up those long legs to create some serious competition during running drills. See anyone you know?

Are you falling off a fitness cliff?

"A goal casually set and lightly taken is freely abandoned at the first obstacle."
- Zig Ziglar

It never changes. The enthusiasm to get in shape, eat right and, if necessary, lose those extra pounds is in high gear the first quarter of the new year. The cliff comes at the latest by the beginning of the second quarter (around April).

You're not alone, statistics prove that most new year's resolutions and health and fitness goals are out the window after the first three months of the year.

How are you going to get out of this dilemma, climb back up and get back on track? Three simple and profound steps:

PLAN IT
DECIDE
DO IT

For those in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Colonel Bob offers a fitness solution that focuses on the health aspect and is designed for all fitness levels. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 pm and Saturdays at 8 am at the Harbor Beach Marriott on the beach as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 am (location: west side of the Las Olas Bridge).

The Group photo from beach boot camp today

Beach Boot Camp Group Photo

These are the beach boot camp troops that took care of their fitness today. They did not listen to the call of that bed that said, "Stay with me!".

Shark Valley Everglades FL bike tour with book campers, friends and family Feb 2014

Another great boot camp get together with friends and family members in the Shark Valley Everglades. Nature was interacting with people: we watched a vulture "steal" a sandwich and fly off. Never saw that before. They usually go for dead things you and me would not eat.

Here are the photos. Don't mind all of Tom's selfies.
