NY Times: Changing HFCS To 'Corn Sugar' Is A Good Idea - The Consumerist

This topic has been surfacing again and again. If you take the politics out of the it, and let the nutritional science talk, you will find that there is no significant difference between HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) and Granulated Sugar. I agree with the editors of the New York Times on this one. This present status of corn syrup versus sugar is misleading for the consumer. Granulated sugar is just as much a sweetener and should not be considered better. We have a general problem of too much sweetening whether it's corn syrup (sugar) or granulated sugar.
