Colonel Bob's New Year's Resolutions NOT

Dear Beach Boot Campers, Fitness Enthusiasts and the rest of you,

I can't believe 2013 is already on the move. Time is constantly moving and never stands still. I will not address New Year's Resolutions but will be performing surprise visits to inspect the content of refrigerators and kitchens. If that door bell rings it could be Colonel Bob.

To start out the year I was more interested in talking to people who do NOT make New Year's Resolutions. The responses were inspiring. Here was the most important response:

Develop and implement a routine that supports healthy goals for finances, family, friends, work and health.

1. Schedule it.
If you don't put it on the schedule, it's probably not going to happen.
2. Do it.
If it's on the schedule it must be important and therefore has got to be done.
3. Maintain a thankful and humble heart.
Maintain a soft heart towards others. Do not allow your heart to become hard and bitter because someone doesn't agree with your view about life or politics. Watch your tongue, pen and keyboard when it comes to expressing your views about others. Words like hate or calling others haters because of their differing view have no place in a humble and respectful heart. Some of those you address as haters may be people who actually care very much about you.
4. Have fun along the way.
With a thankful attitude you will appreciate what you have much more and you will appreciate others more. People will enjoy being around you because that sense your gratitude and appreciation.

What is the best basic attitude to maintain? Jim Rohn said it best,

"Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want."

Regular Beach Boot Camp at the Harbor Beach Marriott
Classes are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 PM and Saturday mornings at 8 AM.
