WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT? CONSISTENCY OR INTENSITY?

Many fitness programs offer a quick fix by tempting with intense fitness programs. The weight loss industry applies that same principle and rakes in billions of dollar. Intensity may be good for a kick-start but it is not the solution.

Consistency is hands down the most important principle to be applied when it come to eating and exercise for the general population. Why is this? The answer to this question can be found in the purpose of health eating and exercise. The answer is that fitness and food are health focused, not athletic or combat training focused.

The next time you catch yourself going for an intense program, step back and evaluate your motives. If an overall plan of consistency is not being implemented, your intense program is not health focused.
